Bake-Out Cylinder Preparation
Cyl-Tec offers properly prepared high-pressure cylinders for Ultra High Purity Services.
For Ultra High Purity Services cylinders must be specifically prepared to maintain the purity of the mixture. Unbaked cylinders can contain up to 100 parts per million of unwanted molecules. These molecules will adhere to the walls of the cylinder unless action is taken.
The Bake-Out process includes the following steps:
- The three primary contaminants of interest in UHP Services are trace Oxygen, moisture, and Hydrocarbons
- Cylinders are heated while under vacuum and remove trace contaminants
