Prevents contamination of calibration gas mixtures

PermaProtect® creates a strong, impenetrable physical barrier between the desired specialty gas mixture and aluminum industrial cylinders. This treatment system helps maintain calibration mixture stability for many common gas mixtures (see Trace Element chart).

PermaProtect® offers the ideal containment solution for the specialty gas industry by specially treating the internal surface of the aluminum industrial cylinder. First, the inside walls are polished to a mirror-like finish, then proprietary treatments are applied to the highly polished internal surface to protect contents from contamination.

PermaProtect® can be applied to these specific models of aluminum industrial cylinders: N-33, N-150, and N-265.

How do we add PermaProtect® to aluminum cylinders?

  1. First, the aluminum cylinder’s internal surface is polished to a mirror-like finish (Ra ≤ 0.05 μm).
  2. Then proprietary treatments are applied to the internal surfaces of the cylinder wall to maintain calibration mixture stability and prevent contamination.
